Why convert pages to images

Images are useful for slides, social posts, web pages, and any place that does not accept PDFs. Each exported image is a picture of the page, so text in it can no longer be selected.

Export pages with Pixuna

Choose a PDF in PDF to Images, pick PNG or JPG, choose a resolution, and optionally enter the pages to export, such as 1-3, 5. A single page downloads as an image; several pages download as a ZIP.

Pages are rendered in your browser and the PDF is not uploaded.

PNG, JPG, and resolution

PNG is lossless and best for text, diagrams, and screenshots. JPG is lossy and usually smaller, which suits photographs. Higher resolution gives sharper images but larger files and uses more memory.

Pages are drawn on a white background. Very large pages are rendered at a lower resolution automatically so the browser does not run out of memory, and the tool tells you when that happens.

Next steps

To shrink the exported images, use the Image Compressor or Format Optimizer. To turn images back into a PDF, use Images to PDF.
